Simple Problem Solving for Spot Welding Robots

Sep 12, 2025 Leave a message

A spot welding robot is an industrial robot used for automated spot welding operations. It consists of a robot body, a computer control system, a teach pendant, and a welding system.

1. If the robot stops for any reason, switch both the robot and the operator box to manual mode. Then, press the alarm reset button on the operator box once or twice. Move the robot cursor to the alarm bar and press "Confirm All" to reset the alarm. Then, switch the teach pendant to automatic mode and repeat step 6 above.

2. If the electrode head falls off, wait until other robots have finished working. Then, switch both the teach pendant and the operator box to manual T1 mode. If installation is convenient, simply restart the robot after installation (press the alarm reset button on the operator box once or twice, move the robot cursor to the alarm bar, press "Confirm All" to reset the alarm, then switch the teach pendant to automatic mode and repeat step 6 above). If installation is difficult, move the robot to a convenient position (avoiding collisions). After replacement, move the robot slightly before the stopped position (move the robot to a position near that point, then select that point and hold the forward check button until the robot stops automatically, ensuring no collisions occur during the process), and restart.
